Listings we highlight as clean use vehicles and modes such as:
- E-bike and electric bike tours
- EV cars, carts, or small fleet vehicles
- Electric boat and solar-assist water experiences
- Walking + e-assist where that keeps the route low-emission
The bar is simple: at the experience, the tailpipe is zero or near-zero.
Why it matters at the sites people care about
Cultural cores, trailheads, harbors, and old-town streets already absorb noise, idling coaches, and exhaust. Choosing a clean tour doesn’t rewrite a destination’s climate plan — it removes one unnecessary source of fumes and noise from the visit itself.
Honest limits
- We are not a life-cycle assessment firm. Grid mix and vehicle manufacturing still exist upstream.
- We don’t sell carbon offsets or publish undefendable “tons saved” calculators.
- Choosing a clean listing reinforces a better practice for that outing. It is not a claim that your whole trip — or your organization — is net zero.
